Beyond Pressure
BEYOND PRESSURE
Stress and Mental Health Awareness Project
High school builds your life long journey. Don't travel alone.
Who Are We?
We are students at Eastlake High School. We see and experience firsthand the stress of rigorous classes, extracurricular activities, managing time, and juggling other priorities. Because of this, we are passionate about reducing stress in our community.
Community Challenges
A big challenge that we are facing as a community right now is stress causing anxiety and depression in highschoolers. According to surveys we conducted, the biggest stressor in our district is academic pressure in students, which drastically increases from middle school to high school.
In our society, there is an unsaid expectation that highschoolers are supposed to be able to handle challenging classes, studying, homework, extracurriculars, get good grades, and still juggle other priorities. That's a lot to handle! Overall, the pressure is taking a toll on the mental, social, physical, and emotional wellbeing of our young generation.

Here is the link to our survey. It would be great it you could fill it out and become a part of our community!
